Wake Forest is a cute little town just north of Raleigh. With the opening of I-540, the commute to the NC RTP Research Triangle Park has improved so significantly that many people who work at the NC RTP are having brand new homes built in Wake Forest. I have seen figures that the average income per household in Wake Forest is between $80,000 and $85,000. Judging by the house that are being built in my neighborhood I believe it! The newest houses down the street from me have starting prices of $340,000. |

What makes Wake Forest a cute little town? Geographically, it’s like any other small town in the area, with the exception that over in Wakefield, the area west of town, they have the Falls of Neuse dam and Falls Lake. The lake and the Neuse River limit the southern access from the sprawling capital city, Raleigh. The downtown area is kinda cute. It’s got some cute little stores in the downtown area. The Southeastern Baptist Seminary is an impressive property on the other side of the tracks, and it use to be Wake Forest College.
